Local Hereford prime beef smashed and seasoned, Winner Winner pickles, tasty cheese, crisp onion, mustard, mayo & ketchup all on our Winner Winner bun that’s been toasted to perfection on the grill. Foolishly but perhaps understandably I’d bypassed this marvel on previous visits in favour of the also wonderful house specialty chicken. Dear reader, I am delighted to report that I am utterly converted. WW’s cheeseburger announces itself with the perfectly seasoned aroma of premium beef treated to optimum grilling and a briny suggestion of prime pickle. What is promised to the nose is delivered in abundance to the tongue. The WW cheeseburger is the quintessential, archetypical cheeseburger with nothing missing and nothing superfluous. Between kiss caramelised artesian buns rests patty, cheddar, onions mustard and ketchup of high quality in proportion and arranged in such a way that each bite releases the juicy essence of their mingling over the tongue. Time disappears as does the burger. Once recomposed it dawned that I’ve now been blessed to have tasted one of our planets burger greats.
